Are you looking at the Blue Ox SwayPro weight distribution shanks, like part # BXW4002? If so, Blue Ox does not give these shanks a specific class rating. All of their shanks fit 2 inch trailer hitches and have a maximum towing capacity of 15,000 lbs and a maximum tongue weight capacity of 1,500 lbs.

If you are looking at the 12 inch Blue Ox High-Low adapter, like part # BX88241 or # BX88235, they have a maximum towing capacity of 10,000 lbs. The high-low adapters are not given a tongue weight capacity because there is typically very little tongue weight when flat towing a vehicle.

If you are talking about a different type of shank, let me know what you are looking for and I will be happy to get you correct information.
